INNS and Winter Restrictions

As we step in to November our winter restrictions now come into place. Winter restrictions apply to both bank and boat anglers and are there to minimize disturbance to overwintering birds.

Note areas such as Moreton Bank, the tops of Villice and Herons Green bays and Stratford are now off limits. Please refrain from entering these areas, anglers found in these areas may face exclusion from the fishery. Please see the map below for further details.

In other news, ongoing Invasive Non Native Species (INNS) work is taking place around the lake, most notably around Walley bank. You may see some traps that have been installed. DO NOT tamper with these traps, it is an offence to do so. The traps will look like the ones shown below.

Finally, tight lines to all of the anglers visiting in coming weeks. Brown trout are now out of season, so must be returned unharmed if caught. Boat fishing continues for fly anglers until Sunday 7th November so not long to go! Bookings on 01275 332339 or online via Clubmate.
