Angler safety notice We are aware that there are some weather warnings for possible thunder and lightning locally in our area in coming days. For your safety, want to take the time to remind anglers of their responsibilities in the event of thunder and lightning.
Should thunder and lightning appear whilst fishing, STOP fishing IMMEDIATELY. Anglers in boat’s should head to the nearest shoreline and wait until the storm passes. It is recommended that you do not sit or stand under trees during this time. In severe instances, the fishery may contact you via your provided mobile number to call boats in. Please ensure that your mobile phone is charged, working and on you at all times.
Anglers who continue to fish through periods of thunder and lightening jeopardize their own personal safety and may face a ban from fishing our waters in future. Please do your part to keep safe when visiting our waters.
